Yoga Guidance: Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand)

Procedure for Sarvangasana:
  • Lie with back on the ground, feet flat on the ground regarding hip-width apart, arms on sides of the body, palms up
  • Bend knees in toward chest
  • Roll hips up and over till legs straighten and toes return to the ground behind the top
  • Place hands on low back for support, fingertips face
  • Raise right leg toward the ceiling
  • Raise leg toward the ceiling
  • Press (straight) legs into one another
  • Hold for three to five breaths
  • Keeping legs straight, lower legs at constant time behind the top till toes bit the ground
  • Lower hands to the ground, palms up
  • Roll back to the ground until hips reach the ground
  • Bend knees, place feet on floor
